Building affiliate websites
|
I just posted an interesting article in the articles directory on “6 Critical Rules When Building An Affiliate Website” by Anik Singal. There’s considerable diversity among the visitors here, but nearly everyone at one point either considers or actually does at least some affiliate marketing. Some do it without a website, but that seems to me to be less productive in the long run. Anik presents some basic ideas for building affiliate websites that are not entirely obvious to everyone - judging by the sites one sees. If you have or are considering building an affiliate site as an addition to your eCommerce activities - or if you’re starting out and want to begin with an affiliate website, the advice in the article should be very helpful. Some of the critical points he makes involve the nature of your copy, the need for accessible content - lots of it, adding other revenue streams and/or your own products, and the use of a FAQ. As he points out, this last feature is rarely found on affiliate sites, but could be extremely valuable. Check it out. I notice that Revenue Insider (mentioned in the last post) is already getting a heavy play and the buzz is building. Judging by today, more emails will be showing up soon. This is off, but I got a chuckle from receiving sales pitches from big name marketers whose referral IDs are higher than mine. Yeah, I know, petty of me. I’m just human like everybody else. Anyway, no further information has been made available yet (or found or leaked, apparently). Except this in an email today from Haden: “What I can say however is that membership will be priced fairly so that it will not exclude those who are just starting out in Internet marketing.” Now that’s not very specific, but it makes it more likely that despite the nature of the site and the tools, it will be affordable. It doesn’t cost anything to go read the copy and then to pre-register if you think it might be something you’d be interested in, and I encourage anyone with an interest in internet marketing to at least take a look. Take a good look at the site, the copy, and think about the nature of the marketing strategy. What you’re seeing on the site and in the way it’s being done is an excellent example to study and learn from, whether you’re interested in the particular site or not. It’s ingenious and very well done. |
