So you have made a few decent sales, but you are not happy with just enough. You definitely want more. And you do not want to just sell only once to your customers. In this Internet marketing strategy guide, I will show you 10 sure-fire ways to turbo-charge your sales, and pull your customers back to you again and again.

1. Follow-up on your customer

When you make your first sale, make sure you follow-up on your customer. You can send a simple but sincere “Thank You” email, and include an advertisement for any other products that you are selling. The follow-up pattern should be once every few months.

2. Up-sell to your customers

When your customers are at your order page, simply share with them about a few other related products that you have for sale. Chances are, they might just add one or two more to their original order.

3. Offer Rebates

You can do this by telling your customers that if they refer another 5 customers to your website, they will receive a part or a full rebate of their purchase price. This Internet marketing strategy can potentially turn one transaction into three or more sales.

4. Affiliate Program

When you sell a product, offer your customers the chance to join an affiliate program so that they can make commissions selling your product. This will not only multiply the sale you just made; you will earn more money with less work, because your affiliates are “working” for you.

5. Sell reproduction rights to your products

You can go into a package deal with other business’ products so that you can cross-promote your product with them. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell, and also have other businesses selling for you too.

7. Use of shipment to advertise

When you ship out or deliver your products, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will catch their attention, and attracts them to buy more products from you.

8. Send your customers a catalog of add-on products

Inform your customers of some add-on products for the original product they purchased from you by sending them a catalog. This catalog can consist of upgrades, special services, attachments, and other perks. But the fact is, if they really enjoyed your product, they will buy your extra add-ons.

9. Sell gift certificates

You can try selling gift certificates for your products. In this way, when the recipient cashes in the gift certificate, you will make sales from it.

10. Offer free products

Send your customers free products with their product package. You should have your ad somewhere on the freebies. Traffic is the lifeline of any internet business and without it, you are near certain to fail. New marketers find it very hard to get traffic to their website, either because they do not want to put in the work or because they do not know how to do it. Well, now you can’t say you do not know how because I am going to tell you of a few great ways to drive traffic to your site and all you have to do is get stuck in.

Online forums are an excellent way to get targetted traffic to your website and can also be used for networking with other marketers but that’s a different story. To get traffic from forums you need to find a forum related to your website, craft an appealing signature link and start contributing to the discussions. It is not hard to use forums for traffic, in fact it is very easy and can become a very big part of your promotion. If you give to the other members, they will more than likely give back. Help people out, provide usedul information in the discussions and be polite to everyone and you should get visitors to your website.

Exchange links with other related sites and trade traffic with each other. This is also a very simple way of getting traffic as you simply find sites that are based on the same subject as yours, ask the owner if they would like to exchange links with you and that’s it. You put a link to them on your site and they put a link to your site on theirs. To make sure you are getting targetted traffic, I would suggest you think of a good title and description for your link and try to make sure that people know what your site is about before they click your link.

Start a free blog for your site and use it to drive traffic. You can start a free blog at blogger.com and start posting in minutes, then the visitors you get to your blog, you can drive to your main site. You should write unique posts and not use other peoples articles as this will avoid the duplicate content matter with the search engines and will make your blog unique from every other website out there.

Write a report about the subject of your website, add a few links to your main site and give it away for free. This is a very powerful method of promotion as it can become viral and spread throughout the internet. The more people that see your report, then the more people are likely to click your link and visit your site. You can give your free report away at some forums, free ebook directories, to your website visitors and it should spread further and further with very little promotion from you as you would allow others to give it away as well or maybe even sell it.

The best way of getting traffic to your site is to let others get it for you and this can be done with an affiliate program. If you have a product or service that you charge for, then you can let others drive traffic to your site and if they purchase from you, then the affiliate would gain a percentage of the sale.
