Create Effective Online Marketing Plans

Is creating an effective online marketing plan just writing clever ads to draw the publics attention to view what you have to say? Some people will think so. There is actually quite a lot more to it than that.
Whatever your business there are ways that you can create an effective online marketing campaign to get the word out about your product. These days it may not be enough to have an antique furniture store or a computer hardware store. You need to be able to develop more business than comes in off the street or just through regular marketing activities because you are in competition with those who are offering your product and service online.

Do you want routine traffic that is seeking out your product? The first step to start your marketing strategy is to have a professional website. But having one is like having a car. If you do not drive it then you are not going to make it to your destination. Your website needs to be informative about your product or service and it has to function well without being overly flashy. It should not be disrelated to your product and have a bunch of extraneous information. Getting professional help to present your website is a good idea unless you have experience that lends itself to your creating one.

Now how do you get people to your site? It is more than putting up banners or ads that glitter. Now you have to know how to create traffic to your site through the use of blogs or articles to promote your site and to provide useful information. As with any business, word of mouth is still a way to develop more customers and bring more business to your site or to your physical location.

Search engines will be attracted to your site if it aligns with their criteria of what they are looking for, but it should to be the sole way and means of your potential traffic. Internet marketers are always coming up with ideas to get more traffic to a site. Some of these ideas are good and some of them are not and are just geared to take your money. Get yourself to a point where you know enough about this subject to have some idea if it is a good idea or not. Question the people who are putting it out. If they will not even communicate to you chances are what they are selling you is not legitimate.

On the other hand you have to be willing to try things offered if they sound good or you would not be able to take advantage of what is good out there. Just use your judgement and make a budget for yourself and work within it. Some of your online marketing campaign will be doing the usual that many people do to create traffic, but there will also be that aspect of it that is trial and error. I wish you success.

Over 5,000,000 people searched for some kind of blog last month. Blogging is the latest and greatest and bloggers have the opportunity to reach a wide range audience. Blogs come in all subject niches and themes and there are tons of people searching for the current and freshly updated content that blogs provide but getting blog traffic can be as elusive as website traffic. Where do you get readers and subscribers that are so necessary to make your blog a success. Here are some some hands-on techniques.

Blogging Guide - 6 Ways to Increase Blog Traffic

1. First and foremost you must write valuable and original content. The main difference between static websites and blogs is that blogs are updated frequently and that content is the life blood of blogs. Content is the number one way to attract and convert visitors into subscribers, or regular returning visitors. No matter the subject of your blog make sure your content is relevant, valuable and informative and the site and blog traffic will come.

Some great content ideas include, lists, what is, guides and tutorials. Keep them simple and easy to read. Write in simple English. Remember the Internet is all about instant gratification and people want information and they want it fast, write comprehensive posts but make them easy to read with paragraph breaks and bolded headers and sub headers.

2. Article marketing is a great way to get website and blog traffic. Write articles related to your blog topic and submit them to several article sites, like this one! In the resource box leave two links, one to the home page of your blog and another to your best posts. Interchange the links with each article you write. These backlinks are also good for SEO and getting higher search engine rankings for your blog for more blog traffic. Remember the better your article the more those readers will want to visit your blog and read more of what you’ve written.

3. Search Engine Optimization is one of the best ways to get blog traffic. Many times bloggers just title their posts at random, this is a big mistake. Keyword research should be done for each blog post title.

Use good keywords in the title and at about a five percent density throughout each post so your blog posts will be all over the Search Engine Page Results - SERPS for their respective keywords and this can bring tons of blog traffic from the search engines, especially Google. When researching the keywords choose those that have less competition, especially if your blog has a lower Page Rank. With lower competition you will have a better chance of ranking higher in the SERPS and get more blog traffic.

4. Use social sites to promote your blogs and websites and get more traffic. Social sites like StumbleUpon, Digg and Reddit, have huge memberships and traffic and posting your content to these sites can bring you tons of blog traffic. There are over 100 social sites and they are great for networking with other bloggers as well. Make sure to also have a widget at the end of each of your posts and website content pages so your visitors can submit and vote on your content on these sites.

5. Website and blog traffic from relevant forums. Participating in forums relevant to your niche is one of the best ways to get relevant and targeted traffic to your websites and blogs.

Internet forums are so widely used and have thousands of members that ask questions and engage in discussions and those large audience can turn into targeted traffic.

Many forums are very in Page Rank and are also do-follow which gets you a quality backlink as well as the blog traffic. The links are set-up in the signature option of your profile. The signature appears at the bottom of every forum post you make. So, every time you post that is a backlink and opportunity for more traffic!

6. RSS submit sites are a fantastic source of blog traffic. Because blogs are dynamic with RSS feeds and are updated regularly with fresh content, RSS sites exist to promote such content to their own members.

Many of these RSS/Blog directories have lots of members, who use these sites to search for blogs and content and so they can bring you tons of blog traffic and especially well targeted traffic since most of these sites categorize the blog submissions by niche and topic and/or subject. Also, many of these sites automatically update on their sites as you post content, so your actual posts get exposure which can really boost blog traffic.
